Münster (DKThR) For the International Congress for Therapeutic Riding from the 12th until the 15th of August 2009 in Münster, 180 Speakers from 20 nations are going to highlight the whole scale of therapeutic riding from various viewpoints. A unique chance for an interdisciplinary exchange is created to discuss the versatile possibilities and advantages of the usage of the horse.
The programme visualizes the impressive scope of work in this field and its current significance on an international level. For example the effects of hippo therapy on breathing and speaking, on posture steadiness and movement, on anxiety disorders or well-being are presented. Discussed are the clinical pictures from cerebral paretic palsy, multiple sclerosis up to the patients with osteoporosis and multiple injuries. It is about experiences and solutions to dissocial behaviour as well as addiction problems, autism or borderline syndrome. Further more aspects of popular sport and competition sport for people with disabilities up to the Paralympics are talked about.
On the four congress says a majority of the space will the discussions specialised approached of the special fields of hippo therapy, therapeutic pedagogic aids and psychotherapy. At the same time the chances of interdisciplinary co-operations and holistic rehabilitation will have a say. The programme will be completed by information around the horse, their suitability, selection and schooling.
